My crazy daughters
My niece Ashley gave birth to her little Israel just a day before Jesse turned five weeks old. Seeing and holding him made me realize more fully what I already knew -- they don't stay newborn for very long! Israel is a dang cute baby, and you know it must be so if I could think it even while holding my own little Jesse. Nice work Ashley! (My niece Amber also had her little Ruby this week -- unfortunately they are far far away). Two more little boys will be joining Jesse in the next few months as well.
This is what you find on the counter when your son has won the "Estimation Jar" at school and it is filled with cherry cordial Kisses. They just aren't a big hit with kids (or with me either actually). Still, nice estimating Abe (he guessed 62 and there were 67).
Lastly, it is so funny to me that every time Abe tries to read, Penny feels an irresistible urge to harass him.

I don't like the Cherry Cordial Kisses either - although you can tell that winning was on his mind what with the "any won" bit. Good job to birthing babies, winning candy, and trying, despite the powers of evil babies, to read.
I loved the note! That is hilarious! And that book was way too much competition for sis!
oh man! it looks like i just missed out on a visit from ashley over at mom's! darn! so fun to have cute pics of those boys together. i just keep imagining having one of all 4 of our boys in May and mine will look like such a little pip squeak. what fun what fun. and i love penny so much, you know.
i love your words - but i too, love the pictures. :) so very cute ... what great "going-on's" are happening your direction.
xoxoxo
You're little Jesse is looking more like Abe every day. And I still love that little Goldie's face.
Oh, so true, they just don't stay little very long. Baby Averie just had her 2 month check-up this week! Hey, cute outfit Jesse!! And Nancy, you are a great blogger w/ 4 kids and a newborn. How do you ever find the time?!
I so so loved this post! The pics and I am so sad that Jesse did indeed look so much bigger than little Iz. O I love that Penny is so feisty just like Layla.
Hey tell Abe I want those cherry cordial kisses--I loooove them. Also just cute cool blogs all around with darling photogs of your little smidglettes.
