Oh my goodness! Look at how Penny looks with pigtails! She looks so much older . . . almost old enough to be a big sister. Almost. (Unfortunately I won't be doing pigtails again any time soon as it made her as angry as anything ever has when I tried). She looks much less ready to be a big sister when she has just fallen off some deck steps at my mom's right onto the cement. I hate when my babies get hurt because they just cry and thrash back instead of letting me snuggle them better.
Here is a picture of Penny with her great aunt Penny (who we named her after). My Aunt Penny, Uncle Brad and cousin Thatcher were up from CA this weekend. I am so glad Penny got to meet her namesake. My aunt Penny is . . . I'm not sure how to describe her . . . she almost has a magical quality about her. She has the ability to make you feel like the most interesting spectacular being in all of creation. She also has this way about her that makes you certain she understands something deeper about what you are ever thinking or going through than even you do and perhaps even knows a little something about how it will all work out.
Lastly, speaking of Penny being ready (or not ready) to be a big sister, here is a new pic of little new baby. Yes, that is a FOOT right up there by baby's face! And to think, he/she still has three more months of increasingly cramped conditions!

I have never seen such a great ultrasound picture - it almost looks like a computer animated baby (which it kinda is - but you know what I mean!). So exciting. Penny is getting big - cuter and cuter! Glad to see that you're happy - though I don't think I've ever seen you upset.
She does look oh so cute with her little baby pigtails! I will be happy for the day when Addy can wear her hair like that. What a cute ultrasound picture. Poor babies, having to be all contorted in there in such uncomfortable looking positions!
The owie looks so owie! Poor Penny girl. Is this the aunt you told me about when wrote on my blog about my Aunt Blance? She looks cool. And as far as that little baby is concerned - well, that is one heck of a contortionist's act because I think there was a food and another and two hands all trying to get their picture taken. You sure there's not two in there. I know, I know, I'm biting my tongue.
Oh Marz, if only I'd never been upset. Sigh. It was always easy to be cheery with you acting like a french woman who had to hiccup every time you spoke whilst we played nutty games with our YW!!
Tia, Oh, I forgot I'd mentioned aunts to you before. I had actually been talking about my Aunt JoAnne I think. They are very different but the same in making you feel LOVED. My aunt JoAnne loves to just hug you and laugh and laugh and hug you some more and act like the two of you have some great secret about others in the room. What fun aunts I have.
Wow, what an amazing ultrasound photograph! How cool. I forget is it a girl or boy?!
Oh wait, are you not finding out I just noticed the he/she part of your blog.
so cute I love that!
