I'm not big on "kill." Even when playing with toy weapons (which I am plenty fond of despite the growing terror of toy weapons) they are only supposed to say, "I'm going to 'get' you." So . . .
Me: Daisy, I don't like you to say "I'm going to kill you."
Daisy (to Goldie's guy): OK, I'm going to "something" you. I'm going to something you! I'm going to something you! And something is something real bad!

I'm with you I'll let my kids play with all kinds of toy weapons but the word kill just can't be used in conjunction with the toys. How creative of Daisy to say "something" because something could be much much worse than killing someone!
I had an almost identical convesation with the senator about years ago He was so something off at me
the word was pissed and I had used it another time but he had shown so much restraint in that moment!!
Something is something real bad! I love it! Your Daisy is too clever!
niiice. very creative little one she is. and yeah, i wasn't sure about the toy weapons until andre came along and it was absolute cruelty to think of not letting him have knives and swords and sabers and guns and lasers. oh well. i think he is fine.
i don't allow 'kill' or 'hate' but andre did say he would 'kill' our baby if it was a girl one time. lost a quarter for that one right away. but he's been good since then.
Oh, that is funny!
i don't like the whole "kill" thing either, and cole seems to be saying that a lot lately, even when i politely (like you did) ask him to stop. what is it with cole vs daisy? maybe she should teach him some listening and applying skills. :)
Yeah, just wait till all you commenters have teenagers and then saying 'kill' and 'hate' won't seem so bad because your thinking it all the time and a lot worse, rather something-like, might just possible come out - "you something something teenager stop that something something something that you're doing. You're driving me to something something!" Yeah, it's not so bad.
I told this story last night to my sisters and mother-in-law. What a hoot!! Thanks - miss you!
