Halloween 2025

Would you believe that this is our 3rd Halloween up here? No. Of course you wouldn't. Neither would I. And yet ... I have seen this porch covered in pumpkins and little costumed children three times now. So. Perhaps ... somehow. (Speaking of this craziness of time. When we arrived up here, Anders was still in elementary school. He is now looking over classes for high school registration this winter. Whaaaaatt???)

But, however strange it may be to consider that we are celebrating 3rd holidays already in Logan, it is nice to be feeling like new traditions are settling in (rather than everything feeling all flown to the wind with tried and true practices--like walking the cul-de-sac in Pleasant View, and me staying home to pass out candy, and knocking on ward members' doors--no longer what we are doing).

One of the new traditions is gathering in the church parking lot for a trunk-or-treat with the other ward that attends our building. It's fun to walk around visiting with friends from this ward and with neighbor's whose ward we will be joining when we move. And the kids enjoy meeting up with their friends there.
Anders and some of his buddies. More of them coming in photos as you scroll down. (Ward boundaries recently changed in the ward we will be moving into in such a way that Anders will have literally nearly every one of his best friends in the ward.)

We have taken to heading to Mendon afterwards so the kids can do a bit more traditional running from house to house, knocking on doors, and calling trick-or-treat. And this year Daisy and Penny made caramel corn and then Goldie came home and hung out with them for her last night as their single sister.

It was a happy Halloween. And now for a tidy pile of pictures:
