Maybe it makes me feel less alone knowing that even if this world has lots of darkness and controversy and negative, there are still people -- like you -- dotting the whole earth, trying to turn towards light and trying to share it and point their kids to it!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03045958241240870948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319454352626199680.post-44887950183984585532017-06-08T09:20:33.630-06:002017-06-08T09:20:33.630-06:00Yes! And I've found on occasion when I'm not wanting to be a part of something social or other because I'm feeling insecure or competitive if I can change my thinking to something like that. Something like I'm going to just try to spread his love to them, it changes things quite a bit. When I can manage it anyway.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03045958241240870948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319454352626199680.post-10772065204248788182017-05-31T02:52:42.685-06:002017-05-31T02:52:42.685-06:00It took me some time to write my comment about you...It took me some time to write my comment about your post, because i wanted to write a lot. But as I don't seem to find enough time, I'll go for a short comment (better than none, right?). What you say about the light around us, the light we can share, the light we crave for and lean to, it all resounds deeply in my heart. It's funny you mention Goldie's teacher writing an email...similar thing happened with my second daughter. Not that her teacher sent us an email on purpose, but she wrote a very similar comment in her appreciation book, pointing out how good and well-meaning her attitude was with everyone.<br />As much as i can imagine you speaking to your kids and exlaining how important it is to make a difference in life by being good to others, I guess you can imagine how happy I was to read this comment, and how I had a similar talk with my own kids! :)Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07052983331122916155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319454352626199680.post-46173244059546213252017-05-13T09:59:03.185-06:002017-05-13T09:59:03.185-06:00Oh, I love these thoughts too!! And light is at the center of it---or I suppose it's Jesus Christ really--"by him and through him and of him" everything becomes clearer, brighter, better. It surprises me to think how often HIS light somehow keeps coming through US to others. How can he have trusted us with such a huge gift? And then how the light transforms us even as we are trying to share it--it's just all such a perfect plan. (And I love that your little golden girls share that connection to light in their names.)Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17085334272613025173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319454352626199680.post-71492703750335369512017-05-11T20:26:03.681-06:002017-05-11T20:26:03.681-06:00*high five* !!!!*high five* !!!!Karahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13383158599622489734noreply@blogger.com
